HISTORY

The Beverly Hills City Employees Federal Credit Union received its charter on October 14th 1954.  For more than 51 years the credit union has provided the City employee community with solid financial services. In the early years, as with most credit unions, the business was done by one dedicated employee, William Acton, a dispatcher for the fire department. His service and attentiveness would be a model for all Credit Union Employees.

Many other City employees have contributed their own time to the credit union and the employee community by serving on the Board of Directors or the Supervisory Committee. The founding Directors were Donald Smith, Fred Tarquino, to whose memory the annual scholarship fund is dedicated to, Margaret Stewart, Terry Tollefson, William Jarman, George Beckley, Morton McIntire and Joe Scaiola.  The credit union's first President was Robert Huff from the Police Dept.

The Credit Union is now located at 9298 W Third St. Beverly Hills, CA.  Staffed by fulltime professionals the credit union offers a full selection of financial service to its members.  There has been a focused effort to bring the best technology, the most efficient operating methods and competitive products to serve the credit union membership.
